David Beckers is a photographer born in the Midwest but raised in the South as a midwestern German Lutheran child by parents from Chicago.

With a foot in the Midwest and a foot in the South, he can say "Ya'll" and "You guys." He knows how to eat grits and sauerkraut (not together, silly!), and steers clear of the sweet/unsweet iced tea and cornbread controversies.

He also knows how to make his subjects look their best in a photograph, a kind of creativity and technique that often gets ignored in art schools, and by modern art in general, which all too often seems so focused on making things look as crass as possible. Art that reveals the banality of life has merit, but there are times when one wants to accentuate the positive. That often requires extra effort.

David has, time and time again, put in the extra effort necessary to give his clients the best possible images. It is all too easy to slip into mediocrity to reach an unrealistic price point in order to create a "bargain" that really isn't a bargain. Quality is always worth it. Professional reputations demand it.
